Why are we against these Turbines?
The proposed wind turbines to be built near Southminster are over 400 feet in height (About the height of a 40 storey building), will be clearly visible from anywhere in the Village and there may be up to sixteen of them!!
It has become apparent from the very many other similar developments in the UK that property prices within a several mile radius of large Wind Generation facilities fall rapidly by 20%-35% even with the announcement of the proposals.

TURNCOLE FARM WIND FARM
A preliminary notification has been received by Maldon District Council that the developer Renewable Energy System Ltd. Intends to site a wind farm on Turncole Farm. The proposal is for 13 wind turbines, each 120m (400ft) high.
This particular site is situated a mile outside both Southminster and Burnham and extends North East to join the Middlewick farm site. (See map overleaf)
Turncole together with Middlewick gives a combined total of 29 turbines, which would be the largest grouping of turbines in England.
Add Bradwell’s 10 = 39 on the Dengie Peninsular!
